Our company is proudly built by Sarah Sloan and Bill Shopshire of Shopshire Ranch—a historic family-operated ranch, nestled in the heart of the Interior of British Columbia. Established with deep roots in ranching, rodeo, and Western culture, our ranch has always been a place where history is preserved, stories are shared, and the spirit of the West lives on.
Our Story
We founded BC Western Event Rentals because we wanted to share our love for genuine Western tradition with people creating their most meaningful moments—whether that’s a corporate gathering, a Western-themed private party, or a once-in-a-lifetime proposal.
We believe events should feel warm, immersive, and full of character. And nothing sets the scene like authentic Western pieces with history and soul.
Shopshire Ranch is a heritage cattle ranch with antique pieces and Western relics that have been collected, preserved, and treasured over the years. Most of the items in our rental collection date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s.
We don’t do “Western-inspired.”
We offer the West, for real.
We love seeing people connect with the timeless feel of the Old West. We love hearing the stories, watching the reactions, and helping create moments that will be remembered forever. And we’re proud to share the pieces and the lifestyle that mean so much to us.
